Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what information RDWD collects, why, and what rights you have over it. RDWD is a product of NVWL LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company ("NVWL," "we," "us").
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your email address, collected when you sign in. RDWD uses passwordless, one-time-code sign-in — we never ask for or store a password.
Content you create. Note titles, bodies, categories, deadlines, priority flags, tasks, and links between notes — anything you type into the app. This is yours; we store it so the app can show it back to you.
Information we do not currently collect: we do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers in RDWD, and we do not collect payment information at this time.
2. How we use your information
- To operate the core function of the app — storing and displaying your notes back to you.
- To authenticate you via one-time email codes.
- To send you service-related email (such as your sign-in code, or important notices about the service).
We do not use your notes' content to train any AI model, and we do not read your notes except as reasonably necessary to provide customer support you've requested, or where required by law.
3. Legal basis for processing (EEA/UK users)
If you're located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your information is:
- Performance of a contract — processing your account and note data is necessary to provide the service you've signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — for basic service operation, security, and fraud prevention, balanced against your rights.
4. Who we share information with
We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate RDWD. We don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't share it with advertisers.
- Hostinger — our web hosting provider. Your account and note data are stored in a MySQL database hosted by Hostinger, and Hostinger also sends transactional emails (like your sign-in code) on our behalf.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality obligations, and may store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure any such transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NVWL, our users, or others.
5. Data retention
We retain your account and note data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and all associated data deleted, contact us (see Section 9) — there is currently no self-service "delete my account" option inside the app itself, so deletion requests are handled manually by us upon request.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. If you're in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and database-level access controls (row-level security) that restrict every account's data to that account alone. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from the service.
8. Children's privacy
RDWD is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Future changes: payments
RDWD is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, any payment information (such as card details) will be collected and processed directly by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe) — NVWL will not directly store your full payment card details on its own systems. This policy will be updated before any such change takes effect.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, notify you directly (such as by email).
11. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or requests regarding your data, can be sent to support@nvwl.app.
